Yokoy Invoice: Classify PDF documents sent via email and check for due date – July 2025

If you upload invoices via email, Yokoy can automatically classify documents as either invoices or supporting documents.

Document classification for email attachments

Supplier invoice emails often contain multiple attachments that may or may not be invoices. Until now, Yokoy treated all PDF files as invoices, creating a separate invoice for each file. However, Yokoy AI can now classify these documents, allowing you to determine which PDF files to create an invoice from and which ones to upload as supporting documents to the main invoice.

Invoice due date check

Yokoy Invoice includes a new formal check that verifies whether the due date falls before the invoice date. By default, this check is activated for all companies and can be dismissed.

XML and PDF versions of e-invoices received by email

If your suppliers send XML and PDF versions of an e-invoice to the invoice mailbox in a single email, Yokoy AI can now recognize and classify the attachments as the same e-invoice. Yokoy uses the XML to create the invoice and attaches the PDF version to the invoice.
