The Yokoy Smart Lodge Card is a virtual card that can be included as part of your Yokoy business travel integration package to pay for travel booking expenses, in particular flights, train tickets and any other services rendered by a travel agency.
Manage travel expenses globally
Unlike standard Yokoy Platinum Visa cards, the Yokoy Smart Lodge Card does not belong to a particular employee, rather to the company. This allows you to manage travel expenses separately, using one card for all travelers.
You can use your Yokoy Smart Lodge Card with compatible business travel integrations (e.g. TravelPerk, Amex GBT Egencia, and Umbrella) by adding the card in the payment profile of your online booking engine. All card transactions are visible in Yokoy. You can then use Yokoy to match lodge card payment transactions with the travel booking expense data.
The travel admin user is responsible for creating and managing lodge cards for the company. Only the creator of the lodge card can access sensitive card data such as card number, expiry date, and CVV.
Restricted to travel expenses
Purchases with the Yokoy Smart Lodge Cards are restricted to certain merchant categories, i.e. airlines, train companies, and travel agencies. When you add the card to a payment profile in the travel booking system, you restrict payments to flights, trains and travel agency services.
The Yokoy Lodge Card cannot be used for hotels and rental cars to pay these merchants onsite. However, since many travel management companies allow you to book prepaid hotel rates where the merchant of record is the travel management company, these arrangements can be paid by the Yokoy Smart Lodge Card.
