Auto-matching with Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions
Digital wallets use account numbers different to the card number as a security measure to ensure the actual card number is not shared with merchants. Due to this reason, Yokoy was unable to automatically match expenses with transactions paid with digital wallets since the receipt contains a reference to wallet, rather than the card number. From now on, Yokoy tries to match receipts paid using Apple Pay and Google Pay using the timestamp of the transaction, the amount, and the digital wallet reference.
