Why am I getting in-app notifications in English instead of my set language?

In-app notifications are our way of alerting you to new or existing features and giving you more information about them.

From time to time, Yokoy sends you in-app notifications to help you use Yokoy or notify you about new features in Yokoy. These in-app notifications are available in either English or German. The displayed language depends on your device settings and not on the language you have selected in Yokoy in My profile > Language - date format.

For example, if you have selected German as the language to use in Yokoy in My Profile, but have English as the language in your computer‘s device settings, then all tabs and menus in your Yokoy account are displayed in German, but any in-app notifications sent to you are displayed in English.

✏️ Note

Unless your device settings are set to German, in-app notifications are always displayed in English.

If you change your device language, it may take up to 24 hours for in-app notifications to be displayed in the new language (English or German).
