Add supporting documents to invoices as a manager

Allow approvers and managers to additional information to invoices in approval.

By default, managers can edit invoices sent for approval. However, they cannot attach any additional documents.

You can allow approvers to attach additional supporting information to the invoice:

  1. Go to Admin > Invoice settings.

  2. In General settings, select Allow supporting documents to be added to invoices in In Approval status.

Activating this option allows documents to be attached to the invoice record when the invoice is in approval.

Only the user who attached the supporting document can delete the document. For example, Jo Smith adds the file ProjectPlan.pdf to an invoice they need to approve. If Alex Perez tries to delete this file, an error message is triggered.

✏️ Note

Bear in mind that approvers can only add additional files up to the maximum limit allowed for that invoice, i.e. three.
